MELISSA A. MIHALICK was born in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1975. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Texas A&M University in 1998 and her Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law in 2004.

While at South Texas, Ms. Mihalick was a member of three varsity moot court teams, including the William B. Spong, Jr. National Constitutional Law Competition at William & Mary School of Law where her team placed second, the State Bar of Texas Administrative & Public Law Competition, and the Lewis & Clark National Animal Advocacy Competition where her team won first place. Ms. Mihalick was a student coach for the Tulane University Sports Law Competition, where the team competed in the finals, and was a coach for the San Diego Criminal Procedure Competition. Ms. Mihalick earned membership in Phi Delta Phi International Legal Fraternity in 2002.

Ms. Mihalick is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Houston Bar Association, Texas Young Lawyers Association, and Houston Young Lawyers Association.

Ms. Mihalick’s practice includes, among other things, trucking liability, legal malpractice, medical malpractice, premises liability and products liability, as well as general civil and commercial litigation.
